Mr Magoo
Just a short post before we leave for our weekend trip...
I have been down with flu....(sniff sniff..cough cough!) for slightly over a week now.....
Now, no more fever, but am still coughing my lungs out!
I have not been creating anything....(nothing....at...all!) for soooo long now...... I just hope that I can still remember everything about SB......
Created this a few days ago.......a very simple Layout ......

Crochet Flowers, Anyone????
I wanted so much to learn how to crochet flowers since 2 years ago and at last I stumbled upon the instructions here on the net awhile back.
I immediately started to try it out with wool and the results were thus my very very first attempts......

A Gift
I made this mini brag book as a gift for a colleague and his wife.
Items and instructions are from Lia's class kit. As I couldn't attend the class, and as Teacher Lia is not running this one anymore, Sweet Lia packed this kit specially for me.

Harry Potter in Gold Class

DH and I went to watch the new Harry Potter movie....Harry Potter and the half blood prince, last Thursday! We went to GV's Vivo Gold Class and it was 5 star service all the way from the time we collected our ticket to when we were being shown our individual "way" comfortable seats in the theatre. The waiters and waitress were exceptional coated with super courteous "Candy"! The Lobby of the Gold Class itself is something to rave about! I love my experience there and I did mention to DH "jokingly" that henceforth it will be only Gold Class for us ......but DH just gave me that "You've got to be Joking" face followed by the "Dream on, Hunny" face! :P
I love the movie (despite DH saying "Its boring") and love love love Daniel Radcliff and the other cast members but I've only got 1 question....well several actually, but the main one being "oh why oh why" why did they deviate from the book? Lots of the key elements are missing!!! It started from the very beginning of the story when Dumbledore met Harry...........its total deviated from the actual book!! He was supposed to be at home with the Dursleys and not at the train station!!!!! Even his kissing scene with Ginny...........it was supposed to be right after a Quidditch match where Ginny won it and right infront of everyone in Griffindor's common room .....not at the Room of Requirement! And.........the Wesley's house was never under attack in this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even in the scene where Dumbledore met his death was a bit different......How come Snape Shush him??? Where were the dueling scenes after and where was Bill and Fleur???
It will be really interesting to see how they will begin the next HP movie and to see Bill's and Fleur's wedding when there was no mention of it whatsoever in this sequel!!!
But ......putting all that aside.....I still love Harry Potter despite the bad writing by the script writers !!!! Once again David Yates did a near perfect job! Kudos to the movie but BOOOOO to the script writers!!!

Aaqil's Pirate Birthday Bash
Bonding with Aaqil has been great! He knows how to use "google" now LOL!
His current fav toy is LEGO and thanks to his most recent Birthday party...he has got loads to play with now!!!! He has also achieved his Bronze swimming cert and is going soon for his Advance II test!
A week ago, we hosted a Pirate Birthday Bash for Aaqil to celebrate his 5th birthday!
Planning and preparations started 2 months before the actual date and we were fortunate that we managed to reserve a very lovely chalet by the sea for this theme.....
Every work was worth the effort when at the end of the day, our birthday boy came up to us, gave each of us a hug, (Mummy and Baba and Grandparents) and said "I love you! Thank you for the Party!"
I would like to share with you some photos of our birthday Boy in his full Pirate gear and the fun that he had at the party!

C'est la vie!
This hobby will take a backseat for now as I would like to dedicate my time to my family and child. Aaqil is now at an age where he needs me more as an everyday (no matter how boring) Mummy than a Mummy who scraps everything about him but have no time to make/create memories! Morever, I am gearing up for the parent volunteer work at a desired school which I really hope (God willing) that Aaqil will get into in 2 years time! So please forgive me if I don't get to share my creations here everyday...........(I'll still try to do my layouts and albums of course but at my own leisurely pace)
Since January, this year has been a very busy one for Aaqil filled with school work, activities and extra courses. Yupz, so on every Saturdays and Sundays, we have a fixed full day timetable to adhere to now!
Swimming wise, he has gone a step further and is training under a coach who grooms potential kids for competitions. He is currently the youngest in the group and I love the look of the other adult's faces when he dives and starts doing his laps in the olympic size swimming pool! I always walk away smiling and feeling ohh so proud of him!
Aaqil is also reading fluently! I am very proud of him that at age 4 (going on 5) now, he is able to read on his own independently, where else i only learnt to read independently at age 6!
Forgive me for my endless gushings of him......................
Sharing a few photos of my boy doing the things he throughly enjoys................
